In the realm of construction and industry, waste from demolition and industrial processes constitutes a substantial global issue, accounting for approximately 35% of Europe’s waste output. The journey towards a circular world has only just begun, but the innovative application of cutting-edge technologies offers a promising solution to breathe second life into leftover parts, unlocking a new stone era of diverse aesthetics and surprising forms, textures, and colours.Proposed idea involves creating striking tiles through organic stone carving, accentuating the distinct characteristics and colors of each offcut. Smart computer programming maximizes material utilization, while a CNC water-jet machine ensures precision and sustainability by recycling water for future use. Drawing inspiration from history, where stone’s durability, heat retention, and cultural significance graced Turkish hammams, this project highlights how stone remains an ideal material for creating enduring architectural pieces. The proposed free-standing offcut pieces shower, resembling a monumental sculpture composed of various intersecting functional cubic volumes incorporates a shower, basin, storage, sitting area, mirror and necessary fixtures. The proposal like a monumental sculpture, slows down with soft moments revealed by water, elevating the potential of hard stone.
